I got married to a woman in Indiana. I decided to leave her about a year go and returned to Croatia, where I was born. I'm not in touch with her any more and I would like to get divorced. I don't know how to go about it. Any ideas?

How does my situation NOT qualify as US law? We were married in the US and we will have to get divorced in the US. All I wanted to know was if somebody knows anything (special regulations or specific cases) that would help me to do it because I don't have a clue about US law.

I am not an attorney, and an attorney is better qualified to
advise you on this matter.

If you don't get a response from an attorney, you might
try and contact U.S. Embassy in Zagreb Croatia, but I have
no idea if they can/will help.

The following is a page on their web site concerning marriage of U.S. citizens:

The following is a link that shows a link to the Croatian embasssy
in Washington D.C.
