What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado, My wife and I are want to get a divorce. The problem is that we cannot sell the house. We have equity in the house, but no buyers. Neither of us can afford to buy the other one out. Can we go through with the divorce and still both live in the house, until it sells? (there is no violence). What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I am not aware of any law in CO prohibiting you from doing that. However, if your house isn't selling it may be because you have it priced too high.

Additionally, it could be because of something that impacts how well the home shows. Sometimes, heaving prunning, fresh paint, some new carpeting can make a world of difference in how a home is percieved. Animal smells is also a major turn off. As is clutter. Minimalize what is out, box and remove as much clutter as possible.
