Divorce - residency

State of Idaho, Military member stationed in California, filed for divorce in Idaho because of cost and time limits. I am a resident of Idaho, always have been, will my divorce be legal even though I live in California?

My response:

Jurisdiction is proper in Idaho. You are merely a "resident" of California due to being stationed here. However, your "domicile" is Idaho - - i.e., it's where you call home and, but for the military, you wouldn't be in California.
