What is the name of your state? Minnesota...

My ex and I have been separated for nearly 5 years now. He keeps saying he will file for divorce (its consenual..we don't want to get back to gether.) But, the paperwork is less etc in his State (WI) . Anyone know what the laws are on if you have been separated for more than four years with no intention of returning?

There is one child involved in this case, but that is a secondary matter to the divorce. Any chance their might be a smoother easier way to do this?
