I think the question was about divorcing an inmate in Texas.

If this helps, many family courts have family law facilitators or other court personnel who are available to answer questions regarding what basic paperwork is needed for service of process, etc. In most states, including Texas uncontested divorces with no children or jointly owned property tend to have more simplified procedures than divorces where property division and child custody are matters before a court.

He will be served in jail. You can rest assured he will not be showing up in court. You can also file paperwork to request child support if and when he is released.

Since he has time on his hands, he may contest the divorce, put you on some kind of guilt trip, etc.

If you can afford it, you should hire an attorney to handle any communications and other pertinent matters that may come up for you now and in the future.
