What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
I am going through a divorce in Virginia and it was originally going to be in Colorado (i am military). So I have a Colorado lawyer and he wants to get a lawyer here in Virginia to work with us. So my lawyer asks my wifes lawyer for names here of lawyers. she gives him some and my lawyer background checks him and found he is a well respected lawyer with a good rep. (with both lawyers and judges here).
my question is simple... is this normal for lawyers to do within their circles??? or should i be "running for the hills" and get another lawyer all together?
