I am getting a divorce through legal aid and from my understanding it is pretty cut and dry and then it's done. But I have been married to a retired military man for 40yrs and my question is will I still be entitled to his survior benifits and have his retirement? Or will it be better to get a legal seperation to be entitled? I can't get the answers through legal aid because they state they don't handle these issues, and the military are useless at this point.
