EX wifeWhat is the name of your state? Texas Not my problem but...... Can an ex-wife be sued for trying (or breaking) up a new marriage? If so, what kind of proof is needed? What can be done about harrassment , like driving by and calling on the telephone and hanging up when the phone is picked up? |

People can be sued for just about anything but I would love to hear anyone's story of successfully suing a person (for breakup of marriage) outside of the parties involved in the divorce proceeding (the husband or the wife). I got a good laugh from this one. |

| As I stated, it was NOT my problem. I was posting for a friend that doesn't have a computer. They asked if I wouldn't mind posting it in this web site, which I did. Why do you bother to respond when you don't even seem to be able to understand the question? |

I understand the question completely and don't take such offense. My answer was not based upon whether it was you or a friend who was asking. My answer is still the same. The usual result of a breakup in marriage is divorce. The usual parties involved in such suit are the husband and the wife. Whether you are the new wife, the new girlfriend, or the new housepet, wanting to sue someone for breaking up your relationship (other than the ex) is laughable. |

| I doubt your friend would find a lawyer who would take the case on - it's not a winner. |
