My wife lost her mother in 1984. Since that time her father has remarried twice with the latest being less that 1 year. Father recently passed away leaving no will. Now we find that he forgot to remove "divorced" wife number 2 as beneficiary to his life insurance policy. The insurance company is with holding all information saying "it's their decision". I have heard that under Texas family code, in order to remain as beneficiary the ex must be re-designated after the divorce. What say you?.....inquiring minds would like to know!
