Family Insurance Coverage After Divorce

What is the name of your state? WI
Since I carry the health insurance for our family, my lawyer has said I must continue after the divorce to keep the same insurance for our 13-year-old daughter and my husband would pay 1/2 the cost of insuring her. I am a teacher and for the past several years, we have substituted pay raises for the district to continue to pay what they do towards our insurance premiums. After the divorce, does my husband have to pay 1/2 the difference between the original cost of a single vs family policy or only 1/2 of what comes out of my paycheck?

You ex will have to continue to pay 1/2 the cost of insuring the child only. In other words, say it costs you $50 a month to insure you only, but $75 a month to insure you plus the child, which is a difference of $25.00 a month. He would pay 1/2 of the extra 25.00 a month, or $12.50 a month.
