File a lien for money owed when house is sold?

What is the name of your state?Nevada
I am wondering about how I can ensure I get money I am supposed to get from the house when it is sold. The house was mutually owned together prior to divorce, but was given to the yux-wife during the divorce (with my name still on the loan of course) with the stipulation that the equity at the time of the divorce is split 50/50 when the house is sold within 7 years. That sum was to be $11K for each of us. She recently refied the house, got my name off the loan, I signed a Quit Claim, she gave me $6K and I want to make sure this slippery "woman" gives me the other $5K when she sells the house. Would a lien on the house do the job?
Thanks,
Doug

Q: Would a lien on the house do the job?

A: You had a lien on the house via the judgment in the lawsuit, but you have already released any interest you had in the house when you signed the quit claim deed. She will still owe you the money and MAYBE the judgment could still be considered a lien on the house; it depends on how the QCD was worded. Ask your lawyer to make sure.
