I was divorced in the state of Georgia in 1998. The judge awarded my ex 37% of my retirement pay. I recently retired from the army (Sept 1st). The final decree does not have anything about retirement pay. I was told by the army finance office that my ex can't get my retirement unless it is in the final decree. My research shows that there is only 30 days to appeal the decree in Georgia for property division, which retirement pay is considered. Is this correct? It has been nearly 3 1/2 years since the divorce.
