What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois

Is a forged marriage license a valid reason to get an annulment? Would there be legal repercussions if such a thing were brought to light?

Couple in question hasn't lived together and has been "married" for more than six months but less than a year.

Divorce is undesirable to avoid hard feelings. This route seems emotionally easier.

One of the signatures on the license was forged and it happens to be the signature of the person who wants the annulment.
