Game On! A few ?'s

What is the name of your state? Ky

A little background on this here; http://forum.freeadvice.com/showthread.php?t=366562

1. What do we expect when seeing a lawyer the first time?
2. When will dad need to move out, before he sees a lawyer, before or when she is served, or......?
3. How long will it be before she is served with papers?
4. Dad found a letter where she was seeking advice from a lawyer (friend of the family)about what to expect on splitting the value of the house and mentioned that dad didn't know about her profit sharing. Is he entitled to any of this?
5. Would we be right in assuming that the lawyers job is to uncover all assets that pertain to the marrige or are we responseable for this?

I'm sure there will be more ?'s just can't think of them right now. What is the name of your state?

To give the attorney the background on the case and answer any questions the attorney asks. The more details and information the attorney is given...the better and faster the attorney can proced.

Your dad doesn't necessarily have to be the person who moves out. He can stay put until a judge decides who is keeping the home, or until he and she agree who is keeping the home, or until the home is sold

However long it takes his attorney to get her served.

He is entitled to the portion that accrued during the marriage. He needs to inform the attorney that the account exists.

Its his job to tell the attorney what to look for.
