Gift?

What is the name of your state? TX

My daughter and her husband live in Texas. At this time neither are employed. My parents want to give her a car as a gift, to remain in her name only, since it appears that a divorce is in the not too distant future. What is the best way to make sure that her husband cannot get it (or half value) in that situation. Thank you.

Wait 'til she's divorced. Or buy it themselves and loan it to her.

They should just keep ownership and give her it's "use" as the present.
