What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GA

I recently got engaged to this man and his divorce papers say "dismissed for want of Prose", what does that mean? Is he still married to his previous wife?

The paper should have the name of the court and the case number on it. Divorces are public record, go to that courthouse and ask to view the file. If there isn't a final order in it you'll know that he isn't divorced yet.

Check the "prose" to see if ends in a hyphen, and check the next line to see if it begins with "cution". If so, then the action was dismissed for want of prosecution.
