I have a real problem, My boyfriend was got married in 1991 and separated in 1992, and after many years by rumor he was told that she was remarried and assumed that they were divorced. So he remarried. Is there a certain time frame of seperation that you are legally divorced without filing? And does he have to get a divorce from his second wife or did that marraige never really become leagal to begin with? Also i bigamy is illeagal so can he get in trouble for that?

Yes it is against the law and he best be going to the courts and finding out if he is divorceed or not and fixing it.
