I live in FL and have been divorced since 12/99. My divorce papers state that my ex will receive half of the value of the home as of the date of divorce. I am ready to sell now and my ex is telling me that the judge said I had thirty days to get an appraisal done. This is not in the papers nor do I remember this being said. I had an appraisal done on 10/00 in which the appraiser determined the value as of 12/99. He said he has already spoken to a lawyer and that he is getting half up to the present time. Can that be possible?
