I bought the house before we were married. We were married for 3.5 years before our divorce. We had to file for chapter 13 after we were married for a year.

The payments for that were coming out of my checks.

Who gets the house, is she entitled to half of it?

Unless you added her to the deed, the house is yours.

However, she may be entitled to 1/2 of the equity that accrued during the marriage.

You may want to take on the continuing responsibility for the chapter 13 payments, in exchange for the full equity in the house, depending on the respective balances.
