All the research that I have done online explains that my soon to be ex

has 21 days to answer the complaint for divorce. Now my attorney tells me

28 days. Can anyone explain? I tried to call my attorney for an explanation,

but have not received a call back.

It would appear to be 21 days if the respondent (your ex) is also in MI, but 28 days if he's out of state.
