What is the name of your state? new york.-i have been married for 3 years, but lived with him for 8 years now.we are talking divorce, and i want to know if i can try to sue for half of everything. although there isnt any property or children involved there are large 401k and pensions through work.i would also like any info on spousal support.thank you---remmy

its the 3 years of marriage that only counts. not much time to get support for any significant length of time.

Do you work? How much did you contribute to the community assets?

Not sure if his 401k plan is comminity property and if it is the only amount that would count would be the increase in value for the past 3 years.
