Husband liable for bills?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana
My husband just up and left one day and left me with all the bills. I heard he is responsible for 1/2 the bills since we are still legally married. He left 5 months ago.
We dont go to court until November and it will be uncontested. Should I bring this up to the judge then?
