I'm originally from West Virginia, but live in Ohio now. What I actually need help for begins with a long story. Let me explain. I was married in 1997. Somewhere near a year and a 1/2 later things in my marriage turned a full circle. I was constantly being told that I was useless, stupid, etc. I was constantly being yelled at to the point where our fights were Knock down, drag out fights. Sometime with in this span, I was left homeless and fending for myself. He came home when he wanted to come home. (He was a Truck Driver) I had to always be home when he called and if I wasn't he wanted to know where I was, who I was with. He hired a private investigator and had me followed so that he would know where I was at any given time. I was thrown out of several apartments due to non-payment of rent because I was not allowed to work and it was always my fault. I had to go to charity organzations just to pay my rent, have utilities, food, and clothing on my back. Every job I tried to get he'd get sick of me not being home when he called and I'd have to quit. Then I'd get yelled at because I wasn't working and I'd have to get a job and the whole process would start again. He told me that my friends had to be pproved by him. If they weren't approved I couldn't be with them. He tried to shut me away from my family. He wanted me where he could control me. I had no car at the time so it worked. I had no phone either. I finally had to pawn things to pay for things I desperately needed (food, clothes, electric, etc) He then threatened to have me throw in jail for doing this. All the while he's living off the $2000 or so dollars a month that he made in style and leaving me in rags. I lived in a friend's backyard for an entire summer. Sometime later, his friends told him that I had been cheating on him and things just got worse for me. I was never asked my side of the story. I never cheated. That didn't matter to him. The way he looked at it was I was his property and he could do with me what he wanted. This included running off with a prostitute he ran into somewhere in a truck stop in Kentucky. He, to this day, still lives with her in the trailer that my Mother paid for. They were supposed to have gotten married 2 years ago in July. She is sporting my husband's last name right now. I don't know if they are married or not, OR if we are still married or not. I have my divorce papers that he had illegally notarized by his aunt and she falsified the papers saying that I was there. He changed them after the witnesses signed them. I never heard anything about a court hearing. I was never notified much less seen a courtroom. As to him, he as disappeared. I can't find him. I called his mother to get information and was told that if I ever called back she'd put me in jail for harrassment. I need to find him. I'm also trying to go to college to better myself, but I need his tax records for my financial aid. I, at this point, am at the end of my rope. Everything he ever did to me, he has gotten away with. His family are outstanding members of society, hisUncle is the mayor of his hometown, several of his cousins and friends are on the police force. I can't even drive thru his town (Which as a major highway running thru it). I am escorted out of town as soon as I am seen. Nothing I do to him stays in court. I think it has something to do with the papers he carries in his wallet Certifying him insane. He gets away with everything. I don't know what to do. I can't even go on with my life. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
