What is the name of your state?Florida

I have a complacated divorce battle that is starting. I was Married in Virginia and my daughter was born in chesapeake june of this year. My husband left us with no money, car, or place to reside so I left and came to florida where I have family with our daughter. I was granted an injunction in the state of florida where I was awarded full custody. Now my husband has filed for divorce in Virginia. What my question is What state has jursticion over my daughter when it comes to custody, visatation, and support?

How did you get Florida to make orders regarding your child when you hadn't been there long enough to establish residency? (six months)

I think that you are going to need to consult with attorneys in both FL and VA. If you had been in FL six months I would normally say that FL would have jurisdiction over the child....particularly since FL has made orders regarding the child. However the fact that you hadn't been there long enough to establish legal residency, before he filed for divorce, could complicate things.

State: Florida

The state of Florida granted custody because the acts of violence where conducted while we reside in the state of Florida. The Injunction was filed on behalf of my daughter. Would a lawyer be able to tell me who had jurasdiction over my daughter.

What acts of violence? You mentioned NOTHING about this in your posting.

Get an attorney. Tell the attorney EVERYTHING. Don't leave stuff out like you did here all that will do is hurt you.
