I think I was mislead

What is the name of your state? FL
Someone please help me. I hired a divorce attorney who prepared and served my husband with a firm petition for dissoulution of marriage and other releif. Amongst other things she demanded temorary, lump-sum, and rehabilitative alimony. A few months later she sent me a draft MSA that was not tailored nor did it list any of the above referenced items and some other details. A month goes by and she disappears, put on bed rest and her associate took over. The associate tells me its 50-50 and more details that caused me to break-down and run out of her office. Then she sends me another bill which I want to contest. I believe I have been mislead and I am being taken advantage of. I paid 2500 upfront, an additional 1500 and now I wish to contest the latest 800 bill.
I put the divorce on a 3 month stay 3 days before my husband and I were to go to mediation - additonal 200 per hour per attorney plus the mediator. Could someone please tell me how I could get out of this mess and what I should do now to bring closure to this marriage.

It sounds to me like you need a new attorney, in a different law firm. I realize that this means more money for you, but it doesn't sound like you got good representation from the firm you are currently with.

State fl Thanks for the advice. I am not looking forward to the lawyer interviewing thing again. Seems like I cant get facts and thats probably because I ask the wrong questions. I thought this divorce was going to cap out at 2500 and be finalized. The firm came highly recommended to me. All I heard was he did you wrong, you are doing the right thing. Blah, blah, blah. I want to compose a list of issues to bring back to the firm and let them know that what they did was wrong but I am not a legal person and will probably get myself into more of a mess.
