| You did not say what name is false or why it is false, but I suppose the thing to do is get a divorce of the marriage using the names in the marriage and then use the correct names next time to avoid this problem.
As long as a false name was not used in order to commit a crime, such as bigamy--there is no problem; you can use whatever name you choose to use as long as it is not used in order to commit a criminal act. I use a variation of my name, not my actual name, and have done so since I was 18 and the information I gave you is what I was told by an attorney at the time and ever since. I always try to be careful that this variation of my name does not present any problem when I am signing legal documents, including my marriage license.
Hope that helps.
