I am receiving an inheritance from my mother's estate. I am not separated. I still live with my husband, but I am contemplating divorce in the near future. How can I keep my inheritance from being split? I live in NJ.

Do not comingle with other assets. Do not pay joint bills or credit cards with the money. Put it in an account or CD in your name and leave it there until divorce is over.
