What is the name of your state? Michigan Would like to file for divorce from husband, moved out of home in Mich. on 12-13-04, whereabouts unknown. I am trying to protect inherited homes and assets in Az. Am still contemplating what state to file in, can meet residency requirements in either state before he can. If I file in Mich., I am told, husband could be entitled to equity in inherited houses in Az. Would like to add my 2 kids names to deeds on Az. properties to reduce what equity he would get, and in the event of my demise before divorce is overwith. Would like to find atty. specializing/or familar with divorce laws in Mich. and Az.
