What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey.
My wife got an inheritence from her mother's estate, and has filed for divorce, after. Is this considered part of the Equitable Distribution?

As long as she keeps it separate and does not mingle it with marital assets, it is separate property and not subject to distribution.
