Jurisdiction/Where To File?

What is the name of your state? Kansas

Hey guys, here's the problem...

I need to get a divorce from my ex who lives in Minnesota, I currently live in KS, and we were married in Illinois.

My question is where do I even file to begin with? My ex is being cooperative, but I'm clueless here and money is pretty tight. I'm trying to file myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are a legal resident of KS, file in KS. Look up how long you have to live there to be a resident -- it's usually 6 months to a year. If he wants to file, he can file in his state, same deal. Where you were married is moot.
