Just wondering

What is the name of your state? NY
How many viewers on this site are actually attorneys?

HOW could the site be expected to know how many people VIEWING are attorneys? How would anyone here know if you are an attorney, or a poster on the thread before yours?

Several.
I'm an attorney, licensed in two states: California and Texas.

Yes, there are attorneys on this site. Many members identify themselves by their username or by their signature if they are not attorneys.

Don't necessarily dismiss members just because they aren't attorneys. Many members know the law in their particular field by virtue of the fact that they HAVE to know the law in their jobs.

This is a free site, so some advice may not be good advice. Senior members try to weed that out, but if you need advice you have to be proactive. Search a member's posting history to evaluate whether or not that poster has offered good legal advice in the past.

There are also other professionals involved in the family law fields, and other fields who post here as well.

Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship. The devil is in the details after all.

I agree. They are both uniquely odd states (that's why they both let me in).
I didn't think I could get wierder than California, but I've succeeded

Ohio is much more sensible and predictable - but it's no fun when the law makes sense.

You have my admiration - Ohio (& beyond) benefits from your lawyering.
