Kansas HELP ! Ease my mind PLEASE !

What is the name of your state? Kansas

Im using no attorney filing on my own

Sadly a 16+ year is heading to divorce court date is Oct 27,2003
I want to make 150% sure Ive got everything . That when I leave court that day I have divorce decree in my hand .
1 ) $110 Divorce / Paternity Fee paid for
2 ) Petition for dissolution of marriage ( notary by both )
3 ) Marital Settlement Agreement ( notary by both )
4 ) Parental class mine done ex is Sep 22

So what I'm I missing here than ?
If nothing anyway to speed the process up by chance ?

For zero income + need to get to Virginia to get back into the mission field . Touching lives to Jesus Christ .

Any help to ease my mind would be deeply appreciated .

Thanks

Heidi

OK look lady I keep seeing your post pop up everywhere, same info, so....
First of all, how the heck are you planning on going to VA from KS "to touch lives for Christ" when you are in process of divorce??? I am hoping the first lives you will touch are those of your CHILDREN, either by STAYING NEAR THEIR FATHER so he can have meaningful contact with them, of leaving them with him since you are the moveaway. Give me something to work with here - what do you want to know? Will a judge give you a divorce? Very likely. Will you get whatever the MSA "agrees" to, probably since you both agree? But how long will it take? Where in KS are you? What does the judge's docket look like? Are you using the casenet to find out where you are in the process or what? Are you wanting to move the 10-03 date up ? If so have you talked to the clerk of the court about that? Does your husband have an attorney? Have you served him with the appropriate paperwork, legally?

You need to think hard about what you are doing here, as a "missionary" of Christ. Rushing a divorce, with kids, so you can be a "missionary" sounds fishy to me. I am a believer. I have read about divorce at length in the Bible. Methinks something is weird here.

Why do keep starting new threads? Just add the word "Bump" to one of your previous ones...heck, add anything, even a period (.) to bump your post up to the top again. Just hit "reply" to one of your previous threads.

Perhaps the reason no one can help is because you must abide by the laws of your state, which may or may not allow for "expedited" final divorce decrees. Two websites that may be of *some* help are www.divorcesource.com and www.divorcenet.com/url]. Both sites have state family laws. I'm in DE and it took a month to get my "final decree" after my divorce so don't count on walking out of court on October 27 with decree in hand. The only thing I suggest that you do is call the Kansas Family court and ask.

If the reason you're giving is that you "feel the call" only - that may not be good enough - if your state even allows for expedited paperwork. Likely if you were saying you had to leave the country it might work, but you're saying you're going to VA. Your are not saying that you have to go to VA to care for a sick child or parent and can not afford to go back to KS for your court date. Remember that there is a reason for the separation of Church and State, although you may not like it. Meaning no disrespect to you, of course.
