What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
My lawyer decided to quit after paying him 35,000 to represent me. Well I am in mediation and have no idea what to do next when it comes to representing myself. I need time to find counsel can I ask for time to do that, and if my wife isn't presenting documents that we have asked for how do I make it that she has to? Who do I talk to that can point me in the right direction at a affordable price?

You can notify your stbx's attorney that you want a delay due to the fact that she has not provided the documents that were asked for and copy the mediator.

If they agree to a delay, you have no problem. If they won't agree, then you will probably have to ask the judge for a continuance.
