What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina

In June 2004 i signed a marriage license with my ex boyfriend, and we had it notorized. We never purchased ring, or had a ceremony. We lived together as a couple for only three months after that, then he went his way and i went mine. We never got back together. Is this a legal marriage? neither one of us even know where that license is.

Did you file the marriage license? Most likely you are not married because it usually requires the signature of the officiator as well as your signatures.
