What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? CA

My wife has indicated that she will be leaving my home in 1-05 and has already moved to another bedroom. What I can I do legally to end my responsibility for her debts between now and a possible divorce. Can I unilaterally register a legal separation to accomplish this?

Well, you could certain go ahead and file for divorce. Otherwise you should probably consult with an attorney in your area.
