IN-Legal Separation Laws

I am in Indiana which is a "no fault" state. My wife wants a divorce and I do not due to my beliefs and convictions. Is a Legal Separation an option? Is there a period of time for which a Legal Separation is valid, or in other words, is it only binding for a period of time?

My wife contacted an attorney who told her that a Legal Separation is only binding for one year. Is this true or is it permanent?

Realistically, if your wife wants a divorce you can't stop her from getting one.
