Will a legal separation protect me from suit or tax obligations my husband is irresponsible with? I bought a condo prior to marriage, sold condo after 2 years of marriage and purchased a house, still only in my name as he was a financial risk. Now, 1 year later, I am not wanting divorce, we are just so different and someione has to protect a future. I would continue his health coverage in lei of community property division in hopes that he sees this as simply a financial agreement. Yes, we have a pre-nup, but that was when we were in the condo.
