legal seperation/divorce

What is the name of your state? Ny
I have had a legal seperation for 2 years.Now my question is how can I get a divorce. My ex will not sign papers even though he is the one who got the legal seperation.And dose this mean that if I were to get a one signiture divorce we will not have to go back to court for child custody since we have already agreed apon things in the seperation?

You both got the legal separation. Do you have a copy and was it filed with the clerk?

If everything was done properly with the legal separation, you should only need to submit a decree to the judge for signing and you are divorced.

You could have done this after 1 year in NYS, why didn't you?
