What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I'm in NY state. My husband asked for a seperation three months ago, then before we were acttually living apart brought another women into our home, whom he now lives with. Do we need to legally seperate before we divorce, and how do I start the process?

Adultery is grounds for an immediate divorce in NY. You would not have to separate first. I suggest that you get yourself an attorney ASAP.
