What is the name of your state? New York

I live in New York and my wife is moving out into an apartment. We tried counseling and I get "I love you, but I'm not IN love with you."

Does NY have a time line of being in separate residences before it can be considered legally separated?

I blieve you need to file for a legal separation in NY. Simply living apart isn't going to cut it.
