What is the name of your state? North Carolina

My husband and I are recently seperated and in the process of divorce the question I have is am I liable for his credit card debts and other misc. bills he accured while we were married even though my name is not on them?

My response:

Since California is a "community property" State, the answer is "Yes, you are equally liable for the debts."

In California, during a dissolution, you can't expect to merely walk away with your share of the "assets" without also being responsible for your share of the "liabilities."
