a lot of questions

What is the name of your state? MA

Is Massachusetts just back up or is this normal? I filed for divorce in May. The courts requested my financials which the husband still has not submitted. We need a mediation before hand because we can't agree. I've heard nothing about a possible date.

I believe that because it was a short marriage, he moved out and left me with the mortgage, got a girlfriend and cut me off financially, that he does not deserve 50%. Just sayin. Hopefully my judge will see the same, though I’m doubtful.

Could I be stuck living and paying for the condo till it’s all over? I seriously can not take the crack whores and drug dealing that goes on in my parking lot anymore. Nevermind the lovely 350k assesment we were just slapped with. Can I sell and take my 50% and put 50% in escrow "just in case" he wins? Or take all the equity and put it into another home and if he wins refi? Someone said it could take a few years and my eyes nearly popped out of my head.

You should be able to go ahead and sell. Obviously neither of you want to keep the property, so its going to have to be sold anyway. Your idea of putting 50% of the equity in an escrow account is probably an acceptable way to handle things.
