What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maine
My soon to be ex husband purchased a new truck (he moved out 7 months ago) - I am going to be financially responsible for 1/2 his debt even though he purchased the truck after he moved out. Also, he has not been paying on the mortgage that has his name/and mine. Cannot afford an attorney, he is living high off the hog and I can't even buy food.

He doesn't have to pay on the mortgage if you are the only one in the house -- unless there is a court order saying otherwise. Yes it destroys his credit but you are the one in the house and need to be paying it. Are you working?

I agree. However I will also state that you won't be responsible for the loan on his truck, because whoever keeps a vehicle also keeps the debt associated with that vehicle.
