Marriage never registered - is marriage valid? What is the name of your state? CA My marriage was never registered by the officiating Minister. Neither the LA County or Orange County Registrar have a record of my marriage. Does this mean I am not married? If I wanted to end my relationship with "my husband" do I have to file for divorce? We have two adult children, so child support and custody are not an issue. We do own a home together, and I have no problem giving him his share - even though he did not contribute to the initial purchase of the house, nor has he contributed to the household income for many years. What are my options? I want my freedom and to get him out of my home and my life. |

| You need to get a divorce.
