Married only 3yrs - Wife has left the home, but hasn't taken out personal items yet - Can a legal separation or divorce be filed by the Wife on the grounds of irreconciable differences? Is there a waiting period to see if either party wants to reconcile (save) this marriage, before a finalization of a divorce? This is not the first time Wife has left the home. Wife feels mental & emotional abuse from her husband and he (husband) can't even compromise on paying monthly bills (utilities) - Husband has very controlling personality when it comes to doing things his way - He's been in a financial slumb over a year now and has even taken advantage of the Wife by asking for a loan, but now says he doesn't have to pay her back the money because she the Wife - - Wife even bailed him out of jail (for unpaid fine he refused to show-up in court) - This Husband & Wife have nothing jointly (financially) - Husband owns home (bought before the marriage) Wife has no ties, connection or bond (no children). Does wife have legal grounds for a divorce if that's what she wants? Wife willing to walk away with nothing.

If you are residing in Bermuda, then the law there applies, and I don't think that anyone here knows anything about the law in Bermuda.
