Got married in Jamaica in 2004, now filing for Divorce in the US. Was the marriage even legal in the US if nothing was filed in the US upon return?

thank u.

Any marriage made anywhere in the world is legal in the US if it conformed to the laws of the country where you were married. Yes, you need to get a divorce.
