What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california

A friend of mine is trying to get a fast divorce and seems to think that if she does not sign the paperwork that in thrity days they will be divorced. Is that true? He is in the military so does that work snce he is?

It's not that easy...
 
If he has filed for divorce, she has a timeframe to respond (30 days in most states). If she makes no response to the court, he may be granted a default judgment of divorce. But, that will certainly take longer than 30 days.
