| You also have the right to retain any NON comingled assets you brought to the marriage. Non comingled savings, stock, retirement, checking accounts and personal property (such as a free and clear car you may have brought to the marriage). Non comingled inheritance or gift funds would also remain with the recipient. You will also be entitled to half the marital debt. Four years is considered a very short term marriage. As stated, SS, if even granted at all, will be very temporary.
