What is the name of your state? Missouri

Is there anything that a person can do in a no-fault divorc (legally) when everything is settled, no children or other matters involved, but one person refuses to sign the papers.

It would be nice if there were nothing to fight over and the soon to be ex's would just sign on the dotted line, but that rarely happens.

If the STB ex won't agree and sign on anything, you are only left with letting it go through the court system and letting a judge make a ruling on it. Then it won't matter if your ex likes it or not, its over.

Or you could just stay married and forget about it.

more question

I was also wondering what court processes would be required and whether or not he need to be present in court. Any and all info would be appreciated. I was also curious as to the costs of a lawyer. She hired a lawyer and all that was done was a few phone calls and some very minor mediation, but costed roughly $20,000, over an 8 month period.
