Need Advice on which state to employ a lawyer in.

I have recently relocated to north carolina from virginia. my wife and my permanent residence is in virginia. i wish to seek a divorce from my wife in virginia, but am unsure if a lawyer in nc is able to practice in va. does it matter?

You both will need a Virginia attorney. You can hire someone long-distance.

You MIGHT be able to find someone who practices in both states, but that's going to add a lot of expense to your bill....
